Lake Sørvágsvatn/Leitisvatn (FO)

Lake Sørvágsvatn/Leitisvatn, Faroe Island, Denmark

This lake is known to be the lake over the ocean. When viewing from a particular angle the optical illusion becomes visible. The lake seems to be hovering above the ocean and is a truly magnificint sight.
At the end of the lake, the impressive Waterfall Bøsdalafossur can be found.

It takes around 45 minutes to hike out to Bøsdalafossur. You are adviced to follow the gravel path towards the end of the lake. If you keep following the line along the lake you shouldn't find much trouble reaching your destination.
