I started in Marseille, the city with a beautiful harbour filled with boats and yachts.
Along the port, there are many street performers, creative architecture and lots of places to eat fresh sea food.
On top of the mountain you can see the Notre-Dame de la Garde (literally Our Lady of the Guard), a Catholic basilica in Marseille, France, is the city's best-known symbol.
It really is too big of a city to see in one day, so I can advise you to book a couple days to get the real experience.
